Finding the Definitions of Words

Preface your search term with "define:" and google will display appropriate definitions from multiple different sources. For example, if you want to find the definitions of the word "Computer.", you can type:

define: Computer

Google instantly responds with definitions from over 30 different sources and sites.

Replace any unknown or wildcard terms

Add an asterisk (*) as a placeholder for any unknown or wildcard terms. Each * represents just one or more words.

Example:

"samsung * LED * monitor"

Find who's linking to your website

the link operator is used to determine back links of a website. For example:

link:microsoft.com

This search operator will return the web pages which contain link out to the website microsoft.com.
